Mystery versus Revelation December 28, 2014 What was the mystery of God through the ages? That He was sending His son, Jesus, to be the ultimate and final sacrifice for our sins. He would establish the eternal kingdom where the righteous would dwell. The old ways would vanish, all things would be made new. The old temple would be burned and the stones thrown down, because the righteous are now the temple of God. - Bernie Parsons |

Our recent studies touched on some of the mystery of God. Here is more of
it:
Daniel 7:3 “And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from
another.
4 The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings
thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand
upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.
5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up
itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the
teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.
6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the
back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion
was given to it.
7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful
and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it
devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it:
and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten
horns.”
Daniel 7:11 "I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the
horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed,
and given to the burning flame.
12 As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away:
yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.
13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came
with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought
him near before him.
14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all
people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an
everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which
shall not be destroyed."
Empires: Babylonia, Medo-Persia, Grecia (Macedonia), Rome, and God’s eternal
one.
Daniel 9:26 "And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off,
but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall
destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a
flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the
midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease,
and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even
until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the
desolate."
Daniel 12:4 “But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even
to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be
increased."
Daniel 12:6 "And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the
waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the
river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and
sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an
half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy
people, all these things shall be finished.
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be
the end of these things?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed
till the time of the end.”
Matthew 24:15 "When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation,
spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth,
let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of
his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in
those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath
day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning
of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
Luke 13:34 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest
them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children
together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you,
Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he
that cometh in the name of the Lord."
Luke 21:20 "And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know
that the desolation thereof is nigh."
Luke 21:31 "So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye
that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be
fulfilled."
Matthew 16:27 "For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with
his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste
of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom."
Matthew 24:30 "And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son
of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."
Matthew 26:64 "Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto
you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of
power, and coming in the clouds of heaven."
Matthew 24:1 "And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his
disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto
you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be
thrown down."
In AD 70, the old temple was burned and torn down.
Now stands the eternal temple of God, built to the chief cornerstone, Jesus
Christ, and upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets.
Ephesians 2:14 "For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken
down the middle wall of partition between us;
15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments
contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so
making peace;
16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross,
having slain the enmity thereby:
17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that
were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens
with the saints, and of the household of God;
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus
Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy
temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the
Spirit."
1 Corinthians 2:7 "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the
hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they
would not have crucified the Lord of glory."
1 Corinthians 2:13 "Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's
wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual
things with spiritual."
Colossians 1:25 "Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation
of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but
now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this
mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:"
The mystery of the ages has been revealed! So goes the Revelation!
