Victory In Jesus

We have victory in Jesus in so many ways. Four of the main ones are victory over sin, death, evil, and ignorance. These victories help us to live a godly, righteous life, and to triumph over sin, lose our fear of death, stand firm against evil, and help spread the knowledge of God as it is revealed in Jesus Christ.

God planned for the salvation of humankind to reside in the person of Jesus
Christ.
Victory Over Sin
Hebrews 1:1 "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time
past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed
heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his
person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by
himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;"
Romans 6:12 "Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should
obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:
but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and
your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law,
but under grace.
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under
grace? God forbid.
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his
servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience
unto righteousness?
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed
from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness."
Romans 8:2 "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me
free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God
sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned
sin in the flesh:"
Victory Over Death
Romans 5:17 "For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more
they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall
reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to
condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon
all men unto justification of life."
1 Corinthians 15:53 "For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this
mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal
shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that
is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56 The sting of death is sin;
and the strength of sin is the law.
57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus
Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always
abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is
not in vain in the Lord."
Revelation 1:18 "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive
for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death."
Victory Over Evil
1 John 5:1 "Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and
every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of
him.
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and
keep his commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his
commandments are not grievous.
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the
victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is
the Son of God?
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water
only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness,
because the Spirit is truth."
Romans 3:4 "God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is
written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest
overcome when thou art judged."
Romans 12:17 "Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in
the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath:
for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink:
for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."
Victory Over Ignorance
2 Corinthians 2:14 "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to
triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in
every place.
15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and
in them that perish:
16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the
savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of
sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ."
1 Corinthians 14:20 "Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in
malice be ye children, but in understanding be men."
Ephesians 1:17 "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of
him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what
is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his
inheritance in the saints,"
Romans 15:13 "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in
believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full
of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another."
Jesus is our victory in life and in death.
He gives us victory over sin,
so that we are strengthened to do good.
Ephesians 5:9 "(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and
righteousness and truth;)"
He gives us victory over death,
so that we can live life without fear.
2 Timothy 1:7 "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power,
and of love, and of a sound mind."
He gives us victory over evil,
so that we can know that we are on the winning side.
2 Corinthians 2:14 "Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to
triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in
every place."
He gives us victory over ignorance,
so that we understand where we are going, why, and how.
2 Peter 1:2 "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of
God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain
unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to
glory and virtue:"
